Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 in 1970) is an American former tight end in the NFL. Gonzalez was a player in the National Football League from 1997 to 2003. Gonzalez is regarded as to be one of the top tight ends in history. Additionally, he was the league's top receiver for yards, as well as the third-highest total of receptions, Gonzalez was also one of the NFL tight end with the highest number of receptions.

Gonzalez was signed to a contract to Atlanta Falcons with a two-year term and $14 million on March 15 2013. This despite having stated that Gonzalez previously stated that he was planning to retire at the end of 2013 NFL season.
